The Landscapes and Wildlife of North America.

Set out to explore the vast expanses of North America. In Canada’s Far North, where the Arctic regions are renowned: the southern part of Hudson Bay, with Churchill, is known for its bears; the Yukon for its gold rushes; Labrador for its wilderness and fishing grounds; and Resolute Bay for its strategic location and whalers...

In Alaska, where the wild coastlines are the realm of salmon, whales, sea otters, sea lions, seals, and polar bears, and the interior was once the realm of gold prospectors and trappers. Above all, it is the domain of grizzly bears, wolverines, caribou, and moose... These are the endless expanses of the great boreal forest and the grand dog-sled races... This taiga stretches around the great Yukon and Peel rivers, around the Rocky Mountains to the south and the Brooks Range in the center of the country.
