Arctic

The polar ship that's redefining expedition cruising

The ship features 18 cabins, a gourmet restaurant, a lounge bar, a library, a fitness center, a sauna, and a Norwegian bath where you can relax after a day of exploration. The common areas exude a warm atmosphere, fostering a friendly environment and allowing you to truly connect with the crew.
You can also enjoy access to the outdoor decks and the open-bridge policy, which allows for a complete immersion in the sailing experience and the natural surroundings.

The Captain Arctic is equipped with retractable solar sails 35 meters high. Built to withstand the most extreme weather conditions, they are made of aluminum and feature nearly 2,000 m² of solar panels to harness this inexhaustible natural energy—especially in the Arctic, where night never falls.
When the sails cannot catch the wind, the ship uses two propeller shafts that generate energy and function as hydroturbines, providing environmentally friendly electric propulsion.
The ship thus reduces its emissions by 90% compared to a conventional polar vessel.

The ship is also self-sufficient in freshwater production, which is generated from seawater using a reverse osmosis process, ensuring a vital resource without impacting the natural environment.
For heating, the Captain Arctic breaks new ground with a wood pellet boiler that uses recycled wood waste, an eco-friendly alternative to the typically energy-intensive oil-fired boilers.
